Day in the Life

As the Global EHS&S (Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability) Senior Manager at ASP Advanced Sterilization Products, you will be at the forefront of ensuring a safe, compliant, and sustainable environment across the world. Leading a team of EHS&S professionals, you will also be responsible to develop and execute ASP Global Sustainability program. Based at our biologics manufacturing facility, your day will involve a variety of tasks requiring meticulous attention to detail and strong leadership skills. You will collaborate with all departments to meet ISO and EHS requirements, conduct internal audits, and lead external audits to ensure readiness and compliance.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality management systems and processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.

Oversee the implementation of environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures within ASP manufacturing facilities and across all ASP departments.

Lead and oversee relationship with EPA and other local government agencies to ensure compliance and good standing.

Conduct audits and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Lead the Sustainability program, ensuring alignment with ASP’s vision and mission.

Conduct Materiality Assessments and oversee public Sustainability disclosures, including the annual Sustainability Report and other frameworks.

Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with relevant global disclosure requirements.

Oversee the operation of ASP’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, including mission-driven giving strategies and relationships with charitable partners.

Manage ASP’s environmental and climate-related goals, including GHG emissions and water reduction targets.

Serve as the internal leader and expert on Sustainability, monitoring emerging trends and educating stakeholders and cross-functional partners including Field Services, Quality and R&D

Foster a culture of Sustainability through organizational communications and education.

Provide support and guidance to Product Design teams with Life Cycle Assessments and Sustainable Design principles.

Build partnerships with external organizations to support Sustainability efforts.

Develop and implement a Climate-risk strategy, incorporating climate scenario analysis.

Provide leadership and guidance to the Sustainability team, prioritizing tasks and initiatives.

Experience and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality, EHS management, and Sustainability programs, preferably within the biologics manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 standards, and environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Proven experience in developing and implementing quality management systems.

Familiarity with recognized reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, UNGC) and greenhouse gas protocol standards.

Experience with renewable energy procurement and sustainability risk assessments.
