CoreCivic Facilities Manager in SAYRE, Oklahoma

$75,000 - $79,000 per year

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance of the leased correctional facility. Directs, schedules, and manages personnel in the maintenance, repair and upkeep of the building structures and systems, including plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures, machinery, equipment, electronics, vehicles and grounds. Manages the daily onsite interactions with CoreCivic Partner. Establishes maintenance standards by developing, maintaining and/or following a schedule of periodic preventive maintenance for the equipment at the facility. Responsible for capital expenditure planning and establishing a predictive maintenance replacement schedule.

  • Manages the daily onsite interactions with CoreCivic Partner. Effectively addresses Partner concerns and manages solutions in adherence with contract. Creates written reports analyzing current operations and projections of future operational requirements. Provides ongoing communication to Partner regarding physical plant maintenance operations.

  • Supervises maintenance staff in the performance of their duties and evaluates as prescribed by the facility and company policy.

  • Reviews and analyzes maintenance work order requests, delegates work to maintenance staff to diagnose and repair problem and provides guidance with work orders of greater complication.

  • Interviews applicants and makes recommendations and decisions on matters such as employment, retention, promotion and other personnel actions.

  • Manages the strategic planning, such as in-house work plan for maintenance and repairs and, if applicable, renovations and new construction. Creates and manages Maintenance Department budget, reviews utility usage and determines methods to conserve utility resources.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent isrequired .

  • Seven years of experience ingeneral construction or plant/institutional maintenance is required.

  • Four years of supervisory experience isrequired.

  • Additional qualifyingeducation or technical training in a maintenance or construction-related fieldmay be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis up tofour years.

  • No substitution forsupervisory experience.

  • Extensiveknowledge of building construction, the operating capabilities and maintenancerequirements of facilities, physical plants and equipment is required.

  • Experience in maintenance budget developmentand management is required.

  • Experiencein Microsoft Office applications is required.

  • Experience with an integrated work management system is preferred.

  • Avalid driver's license is required.

  • Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
