Introduction

The Integration PLCM Silicon Proto Owner is responsible for the completion of complex, cross-functional activities to support successful introduction and execution of product introduction crucial to GlobalFoundries' success. The person in this position accomplishes program goals in the context of a cross-functional organization with people from several functional organizations involved, and is responsible for on-time delivery while satisfying customer requirements. The person in this role identifies, aligns and drives resolution of technical and logistical issues during new product introduction across multiple organizations. The Product Life Cycle Management team interacts with several GlobalFoundries organizations (CE, Process Integration, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Planning, etc.).

To accomplish this job function the person:

  • takes responsibility for success of silicon phase of new products (PQ4)

  • ensures product route synchronization with baseline technology

  • tracks and drives resolution of product introduction specific topics according to NPI checklists

  • supports program managers for new product introduction during PQ4

  • identifies problems and initiates actions to address them effectively

  • understands and balances product introduction priorities

  • communicates prototype status within technical forums, effectively and influentially

  • presents NPI statuses and recommendations for complex issues in the context of their relevance

  • optimizes results by managing product introduction schedule and quality trade-offs

  • identifies and drives process improvements together with the SPO Team lead and other teams

Your profile

  • You are an engineer with a degree in electrical and/or communications engineering.

  • Knowledge and experience in Technical Business Administration, Risk Management (FMEA, MRB) and ERP is strongly preferred.

  • You must have 5 years of experience in technical roles within the semiconductor industry including at least 3 years of experience in production control and/or silicon manufacturing.

  • Strong soft skills, team player skills and sense of urgency required.

  • Very good English language skills.
