DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary Duties & Responsibilities  * The person will help with engineering projects for the coating department.  * The candidate will work with and do task for other engineers in the department.

Education & Experience  * Minimum 2 - 4 years of course work completed from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other applicable college programs.

Skills  * Strong, hands-on mechanical aptitude to build and assemble equipment.  * Ability to design parts and make revisions to drawings for equipment ad assemblies.  * Some knowledge of electrical assembly is a plus.  * CAD skills are a plus.  * Consistent good safety practices are essential.  * Forward thinker.  * Team-oriented.  * Excellent interpersonal skills.  * Good communication, both verbal and nonverbal.

Working Conditions  * Office, work shop and clean room environment within manufacturing facility.  * Must be able to work with power tools, hand tools, radioactive materials and other toxic chemicals

Physical Requirements  * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
