Software QA Engineer 2 – Aviation Advanced Cabin Programs

Location: Savannah, GA

Job Type: Full Time; Consultant

Schedule: 1st Shift

Pay Rate: $60.00 per hour

Position Purpose:

Join PDS Tech’s Advanced Cabin Programs team, responsible for developing cutting-edge Cabin Management Systems and Moving Map products. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic group of software engineers working on touchscreen software systems for the global leader in aviation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.

  • Experience: 18 months of related engineering experience. Experience credit for related advanced degrees: up to 2 years for Master's and 4 years for PhD.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Design and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures to ensure the robustness of software applications.

  • Documentation: Document software defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software developers.

  • Analysis: Identify, analyze, and document issues with program functions, outputs, online screens, or content.

  • Product Design Reviews: Provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems during product design reviews.

  • Testing: Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments. Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.

Other Requirements:

  • Certifications: ISTQB Foundational Testing Certification or equivalent required.

  • Tools: Proficient with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar project management software. Experience with Selenium Framework or equivalent for writing automated test cases is preferred.

  • Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills. Must be adaptable in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Preferred: Background in manufacturing and basic electrical knowledge. Familiarity with iOS & Android devices.

Additional Functions:

  • Improve daily processes and ensure all work meets customer requirements and aviation standards.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field and apply it to effectively address technical challenges.

Pay Details: $60.00 per hour
