ManpowerGroup Plumber Supervisor in Savannah, Georgia

Our client in local/city government is seeking a Plumbing Inspector to join their team. As a Plumbing Inspector, you will be part of the Development Services department. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of plumbing experience, knowledge of plumbing and fuel gas codes, and knowledge of state licensing laws, city ordinances, the energy code, and NFPA and ASHRAE standards.

Job Title: Plumbing Inspector

Location: Savannah, GA

Pay Range: $23.85 per hour

What’s the Job?

  • Review plans for plumbing systems to ensure code compliance.

  • Receive applications and issue plumbing permits; schedule inspections

  • Maintain permit and contractor files in electronic and hard copy formats

  • Make inspections to determine conformance with laws, ordinances, and codes; check excavations, backfill, soil conditions, and plumbing systems

  • Inform and meet with owners, contractors, designers, and other city departments concerning plumbing code violations

What’s Needed?

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus additional vocational training required in drafting, design technology or plumbing

  • Three (3) years of journey level plumbing or plumbing construction foreman experience

  • Master Plumber Unrestricted License with the State of Georgia within twelve (12) months from employment date

  • ICC Commercial and Residential Plumbing Inspector certification within twelve (12) months from employment date

  • Valid state driver's license & an acceptable driving history
