Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Savannah, Georgia

Description

We are offering a position in Savannah, Georgia for an individual skilled in Human Resources tasks, specifically as an HR Assistant. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct interviews with potential candidates and process applications

• Perform background checks on potential hires

• Source employees and attend/host career fairs

• Maintain strong customer service skills and create an engaging environment

• Utilize software such as Excel and Paycom for HR tasks

• Ensure compliance with HR policies and labor laws

• Administer benefits and compensation

• Maintain personnel files and HR records

• Manage onboarding and new employee orientation processes

• Utilize time management skills to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner

• Perform recruiting and sourcing tasks using social media and other platforms

• Manage employee relations and organizational development activities

• Handle workers compensation cases and maintain compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Human Resources Assistant or similar role

• Proficient in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode

• Familiarity with HR software such as Ceridian, HRMS, About Time, and Paycom

• Ability to carry out Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration effectively

• Understanding of Compliance requirements in HR

• Proven experience in handling Employee Relations

• Profound knowledge in Compensation & Benefits

• Excellent Customer Service skills

• Understanding of HR Compliance and HR Policy

• Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Proven experience in conducting Interviews

• Knowledge of Labor Law

• Experience in conducting New Employee Orientation and Onboarding

• Proven experience in Organizational Development

• Ability to maintain Personnel Files accurately

• Knowledge of HR Policies & Procedures

• Proven experience in Recruiting and Recruitment - Sourcing

• Ability to use Social Media for recruitment

• Excellent Time Management skills

• Experience in handling Workers Compensation
