The Memorial Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah is the only children’s hospital in southeast Georgia. Our current, 20-bed pediatric unit has a team of specially trained physicians, nurses and child life specialists. We strive to provide state-of-the-art care in a child and family friendly environment. Children in this unit may have anything from a stomach bug and dehydration to an infection requiring IV antibiotics. The medical care team on this unit is equipped to deal with a wide variety of childhood illnesses and injuries. Our 22-bed pediatric special care unit (PSU) is for children who need to stay in the hospital to receive cancer treatment or recover from surgery. The PSU team includes specially certified hematology/oncology physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and child life specialists. *We are seeking a CT Technologist for a PRN position, responsible for performing CT and diagnostic x-ray procedures as outlined by the radiologist. *
Working under the direction of the medical imaging management team, you will directly impact patient care through your knowledge, skills and abilities in diagnostic imaging, scheduling, transporting and maintaining inventory. * * What you will do in this role: * You will operate diagnostic equipment, verify images and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure.
You will be responsible for ensuring that proper diagnostic information is provided through the production of high-quality CT scans.
You will perform CT exams on a variety of different body parts in a timely manner.
You will complete appropriate history forms and technologist exam sheet.
You will start I.V.s and check labs as needed.
Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.
RT and CT certification from ARRT required.
State License may be required. (South Carolina: SCRQSA), (Florida must be licensed as a Radiology Technologist.), (GA ARRT required)
Minimum of 1 year of experience as Radiology and CT Technologist is highly preferred.
