Operations Managers are responsible for end-to-end business process activities - creating, controlling and improving business processes. Leads process design and project implementation teams in process improvement activities. Diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop solutions using principles of process excellence and related tools. This position is also responsible for quality reporting, analysis and audits and for developing plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement using applicable tools. May assist in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of Quality Improvement programs. May direct design, facilitation, training and evaluation of incentive programs and may oversee quality improvement projects and teams.

On an ongoing basis, this role leads health plan vendor oversight actions and transportation coordination.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create, control and improve end-to-end business processes

  • Lead process design and project implementation teams in process improvement activities

  • Create quality reporting, analysis and audits for developing plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement using applicable tools

  • Assist in the creation, implementation and evaluation of Quality Improvement Program and Quality Improvement Work Plan

  • Work with staff to maintain NCQA accreditation compliance

  • Maintain subcontractors and delegated entities compliance tracking in coordination withCompliance team

  • Oversee QM committee requirements are met according to NCQA requirements

  • Review the work of others

  • Develop innovative approaches

  • Be sought out as expert

  • Serve as a leader / mentor

While you're busy helping us change the landscape of health care, you've got to be able to quickly adapt to change in a fluid environment. It's all about quality reporting, analysis and audits and developing plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement. You'll also be challenged to gain buy-in from multiple stakeholders before presenting solutions to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in writing business and/or system requirements and business / finance analysis

  • 4+ years of experience with MS Project, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio

  • 3+ years of experience with documenting processes and practices, often in accepted project methodology artifacts

  • Team lead or project lead experience

  • Georgia Medicaid experience

  • NCQA accreditation compliance experience

  • Health care industry experience

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
