MORE ABOUT THE COTA POSITION:

CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this COTA opportunity include, but are not limited to:

• Provide home-based therapy for patients as directed by the attending physician and by following the order sets and goals created by the Occupational Therapist

• Develop treatment plans by identifying a problem list and methods to achieve identified goals

• Coordinate treatment plan with patient, family, and other team members

• Adapts treatment to meet the individual needs of the patient

• Reviews the quality and appropriateness of the total services delivered

• Counsel patient and family on the disease/injury and how to manage in all phases of occupational therapy

• Instruct patient and family members on proper use of equipment such as wheelchairs, braces, walkers, crutches, canes, and other prosthetic/orthotic devices

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Successful completion of Certification Examination

• 2+ years of professional experience within the last 3 years

• Home health experience highly preferred

• Valid COTA license in GA
