WSP USA Project Coordinator in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

The Opportunity:

To meet our business line’s growing needs throughout Canada, WSP is actively seeking a Project Coordinator for WSP’s Resources, Central & Atlantic Group. Reporting to the Program Manager, Projects & Operations, your position will perform a wide range of responsibilities varying in nature and urgency while providing organizational support in many areas.

You will be given opportunities to apply your education and experience on various projects, ranging in complexity. You will be challenged to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain very high quality. What you can expect to do here:

  • You will manage deadlines and ensure appropriate communication is provided (to relevant parties) when schedule conflicts arise.

  • You will effectively plan your work schedule to balance peak and slack periods. You will prepare for the unexpected.

  • You will be accountable, committed, and dependable when it comes to achieving the best possible results.

  • You will use appropriate tools and templates to help maintain assigned reports and/or spreadsheets.

  • You will ensure that all documents are properly submitted to all relevant stakeholders in compliance with contractual requirements and using mandated file transfer protocol tools (FTP) or document management system (DMS).

  • You will assist Project Managers with all aspects of Project Management and Construction Management activities as required.

  • You will take minutes during weekly Project Reviews or other meetings as required.

  • You will liaise with other departments to obtain information as required (Project Controls, Commercial, Cost, Regulatory, etc.)

  • You will assist with scheduling, follow up with the team on any upcoming or overdue items and assist where possible.

  • You will help to manage, monitor, and maintain proposal databases, files, and systems using the appropriate information management systems.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Degree, diploma, or certificate in administration or other applicable area

  • Ideally at least 5+ years previous experience in project coordination, project administration or administrative capacity

  • Experience working in engineering consulting or professional service firms desired

  • Experience in project controls, and invoicing desired

  • Must be skilled in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with Microsoft Project desired

  • Bilingual (French) an asset, but not required

  • Understanding of legal/commercial terminology an asset.

  • Strong IT skills: SharePoint, Bluebeam and BIM 360 experience an asset.

  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work environment and to a work schedule that covers different time zones.
