Responsibilities for RN Evening Supervisor:

  • Part of the Nurse Management team and acts on behalf of Administration during the evening hours.

  • Overall function of the facility during the evening hours

  • Assist with the admission process and admission assessments

  • Supervisory resource for staff nurses and staff on duty from other departments when their supervisor are off in the evening and night shifts

  • Make routine resident visits to assess physical and emotional status and implement any required nursing interventions.

  • Assist residents to achieve and maintain the highest level of self-care and independence.

  • Communication and relationships with the residents and resident's families.

  • Communicate with the Case Manager, Director of Nursing and/or Administration all pertinent information concerning resident or care center and/or rehab center affairs. Take immediate corrective action if care is jeopardized.

  • Assist with orders as necessary.

  • Supervision of all nursing staff and require them to abide by the philosophy and rules of the facility.

  • Communicate verbally and in writing any pertinent resident information to appropriate personnel, physician and responsible party.

  • Assess resident symptoms and change in conditions and report and document pertinent information regarding resident status.

  • Perform nursing leadership functions as delegated by the DON.

  • Other duties as assigned

    ​Qualifications for an RN:

  • Current license in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota

  • CPR certification and first aid training

  • Previous experience in nursing or other healthcare/medical fields

  • Experience with memory loss a plus

  • Compassionate and caring demeanor

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
