WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Our Assistant Finance Manager roles are aligned with Unilever’s key business processes and serve as strategic partners to bring an understanding of Finance, value creation and business drivers. Assistant Finance Manager partners with the business teams to ensure growth and to enable them to meet their financial goals, actively lead efforts to find opportunities and implement solutions to improve the financial performance of the business.

By providing an integrated financial perspective on the impact of business decisions, the incumbent makes recommendations and influences decisions that maximize value for the business.

What Else Do They Do?

  • Full ownership of Supply Chain Controlled Costs (manufacturing, logistics, SC Overheads, Business Waste and Capex)

  • Fully responsible for forecasting, budgeting, result analysis of Production Cost (COGP & COGS), Logistic Cost, Supply Chain Overheads & BW Cost; work closely with factory accountants, SC team and logistic team to deliver forecasts in a timely manner and provide regular overviews to BU teams.

  • Partner with business unit finance to build and manage the execution of the entire planning cycle (Cost Forecast, Annual Operational Plan, Strategic Plan and Monthly results) and deliver a consolidated view, including variance analysis for the Ice Cream country meeting.

  • Present cost updates to Middle East & Turkey Ice Cream CFO on a monthly basis as well as during the budget setting and forecasting processes

  • Carry out ad-hoc analysis & financial modelling to support decision-making in the BU and categories.

  • Consolidation of MET financials, analysis of variances and validation of regional factors that affect forecasted profitability.

  • Management and tracking of MET supply chain KPI’s by ensuring identification of opportunities and active risk management for potential target deviation.

  • Active management of Capex, leading decisions through DCFs and managing trade-offs to achieve the target.

  • Ad hoc and sensitivity analysis of Controlled Costs to be used in scenario simulation and business cases.

  • Continuous challenge of different departments in SC to ensure that project funnel is sufficient to deliver Net Productivity target and continuous control over F4G.

  • Optimize processes and ways of working: Look for continuous improvement and efficiency to further simplify and leverage expertise for different processes.

  • Strategically influence senior stakeholders and leadership teams.

  • Act as a steward of the business, ensuring compliance with controls, policies, and standards.

  • Managing month-end closing, forecasting, and reporting activities for SC-related matters; following up actions for financial performance.

  • Support analytical and business frameworks as well as a quantitative approach to decision-making that shape the overall strategic course of the organization.

  • Assess current and future business risks related to SC operation and communicate results to leadership.

  • Involvement with special projects related to SC operations, capex, and ad hoc analysis.

  • Drive impactful discussions with business units through high-quality insights and analytics.

  • Accountable for SC-related movements and Gaps to Targets

  • Preparation of ad-hoc LT, strategic plan and monthly SC Call Presentations

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

    Experiences & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA, CPA, CMA certification a plus.

  • Minimum 4-5 years of financial experience or similar positions, preferably in the FMCG sector

  • Turkish speaking
