Job Summary:
The Entry Representative in Sales Support is responsible for assisting the sales support team by performing administrative and clerical tasks. They help in maintaining customer databases, processing orders, and scheduling sales meetings and appointments. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. The Entry Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth sales operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
The Sales Support employee will spend most of their time initially in finding and locating bids via client websites and internet searches. Additional responsibilities include: managing incoming emails and routing to approriate personnel, providing profitability analysis on pricing offers, assisting with process optimizations and improvements and working with Direct Sales team members in negotiating simple contracts. This can be an entry-level position, though experience in selling, pricing and/or the municipal water treatment market would prove valuable.
Attitude, aptitude, and computer savvy a must.
Customer Service
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
• Provide product information and recommendations to customers
• Maintain positive relationships with customers
Order Processing
• Accurately enter and process customer orders
• Ensure orders are fulfilled and shipped on time
• Resolve any order discrepancies or issues
Sales Support
• Assist sales team with administrative tasks
• Prepare and distribute sales reports and presentations
• Coordinate sales meetings and events
Inventory Management
• Monitor and track inventory levels
• Coordinate with warehouse team to ensure accurate inventory counts
• Communicate any inventory shortages or overstocks
Data Entry and Maintenance
• Enter and maintain customer and product data in company database
• Update and maintain customer accounts and contact information
• Ensure data accuracy and completeness
Administrative Tasks
• Manage and organize sales documents and files
• Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for sales team
• Handle incoming calls and emails
Training and Development
• Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends
• Attend training sessions and workshops to improve skills
• Mentor and train new sales support team members

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
• Basic understanding of sales principles and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Salary range:
$51,500.00 - $82,500.00
