Job Description

The Program/Project Manager is a dual role. From the Program side, the individual is responsible for overseeing and acting as the coordinator between multiple projects for Programs ensuring alignment with overall business goals and the organization's strategic direction. From the Project side, the individual is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion. Both roles will require interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several functions in order to ensure cost and schedule are maintained at all times.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Organize programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization (PROMT process)

• Develop programs to support the strategic direction of the organization (from inception through full life cycle)

• Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement

• Write program-funding proposals to ensure uninterrupted delivery of services and customer requirements

• Provide all customer demand for NPI and customer program production requirements in support of company SIOP process

• Lead/manage/coach/develop a program/project team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities while defining and identifying required expertise; providing feedback on contribution and performance to team members and/or their direct manager if in a matrix role

• Ensure collaboration and communication with Program Management Organization in TWB as well as with the Key Account managers and S&M department.

• Work with CSM's, CSR's to achieve customer satisfaction and ensure program execution.

• Demonstrated experience with agile methodology, capable to implement agility concepts in the organization.

• Responsible to implement earned values practices across projects and track programs CPI and SPI.

• Ensure all goals and objectives are met to include but not limited to customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance

• Ensure stakeholder and functional communications are easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services

• Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle

• Support Marketing team to conduct market analysis and customer expectations

• Define target markets and products for potential business opportunities by supporting the Sales and Marketing team to identify potential competitors within the market

• Define a product line strategy to

o target most profitable markets

o support SEP in its power distribution development strategy

• Develop synergies with existing technology road map developed in R&T

• Manage timeline and budget allocation for all programs/projects

Complementary Description

• Support engineering organization to design new product lines, product improvements and VAVE initiatives

o Ensure VAVE initiatives meet milestone with year-over-year improvements

o Ensure all functions support VAVE initiatives by participating in the process

• Ensure customer requirements are met and in the best interests of Safran E&P by creating the program charter, baseline plan, and other program management components

• Ensure that the cost basis and/or pricing is correct by evaluating resource requirements, and performing risk analyses

• Responsible for integrated program schedules, data integration, tracking of financial and quality performance, and implementation of corrective actions covering all areas of program responsibility

• Addresses critical issues on complex programs and leads the team to develop action plans to improve performance

• Leads the development of program plans covering mature (legacy) and new product development programs

• Participates in program planning efforts; directs all phases of programs throughout the program lifecycle to include all meetings and gate reviews

• Oversees and approves task planning on programs including resource requirements and effort estimates related to program performance

• Ensures successful customer relationships in collaboration with S&M by responding to all requests and serving as the primary point of contact for assigned program activities, status and problem resolution

Job Requirements

Continued:

• Responsible to provide assertions for the negotiation of contract changes related to scope management.

• Serves as key presenter and facilitator at major program reviews ensuring meetings and actions are documented and communicated

• Acts as a consultant to management on specific programs and/or overall program management

• Establishes goals and objectives required to ensure program requirements are met

• Leading project planning sessions

• Coordinating staff and internal resources

• Managing project progress and adapt work as required

• Ensuring projects meet deadlines

• Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders

• Designing and signing off on contracts

• Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation

• Participating in tender process i.e. design, submission and review

• Designing risk mitigation plan

• Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff

• Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary

• Securing growth opportunities and initiating new projects

• Managing large and diverse teams

• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor degree in business or related field (Master's Degree a plus)

• 7 years of demonstrated program management experience

• 7 years of demonstrated leadership of direct reports and/or matrix dotted line team reports

• PMP certified, preferred

Knowledge/Skills:

• Exceptional time management, facilitation and organizational skills

• Exceptional working knowledge of risk management, change management and performance evaluation processes

• Demonstrated experience using computers and various software related programs in Program Management and Risk Management

• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Understanding of project management

• Exceptional written/oral communication skills and global customer relationship management

• Attention to detail.

• Proven problem resolution skills and resourcefulness.

• Proven excellent reasoning and strong decision making skills.

• Exceptional ability to stay organized while multi-tasking

Physical Demands:

This position sits and performs computer work for extended periods of time.

Work Environment:

The work environment is an office setting with moderate office noise. Must be available for business travel as needed.
