ManpowerGroup Hybrid Machine Operator in Sarasota, Florida

Machine Operator

Sarasota, FL 34243

Schedule: M-F, 7am-3pm

Pay: $21.00/hr - Weekly Pay!

PURPOSE

The Polymer/Grind Room Machine Operator will be working in a manufacturing chemical environment. They will be responsible for chemically treating glassware, mixing chemicals, and other manufacturing processes. They will also be cross trained in the manufacturing of raw material blanks for interocular and contact lens materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technician must be able to read, understand, and follow SOPs and ISO procedures

  • Maintains general laboratory cleanliness including glassware and production equipment

  • Able to perform repetitive tasks and adhere to production schedule

  • Carefully load and unload chemical materials into processing equipment

  • Break product out of glass tubes

  • Operate grind room machinery to the prescribed specifications to ensure high-quality products

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and managers

  • Must be able to work in a chemical environment to coat tubes wearing proper PPE

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of general lab and chemical safety

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work independently and proactively

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Shift availability: 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday

  • Comfortable in production and lab setting

  • Able to lift 50lbs

  • May be required to handle fluid containers of sizes up to and including 55 gallon drums

  • May be required to stand for extended periods of time

  • Will be required to handle and work around hazardous materials
