AC Disaster Consulting Data Administrator (Manatee County) in Sarasota, Florida

Position Summary:

  • Job Title: Data Administrator (Manatee County)

  • Full Time or Part Time: Full-Time

  • Temporary/Seasonal/Regular: Temporary

  • Compensation: $22-$24/hour

  • Location: Manatee County, FL on-site with some remote work possible

  • Travel: up to 50% travelling to inspection sites

Mission of Role/Position Summary

The Data Administrator plays a vital role in the daily operation and management of data and administrative needs for our response and recovery processes. This position will oversee data integrity, administration, and reporting needs for our damage inspectors out in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management: Oversee data entry, integrity, accuracy, and security of all relevant data systems used for tracking project progress, inspections, or field reports.

  • Database Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain databases, ensuring records are up-to-date, accessible, and properly archived.

  • Data Reporting: Generate reports for stakeholders, including damage reports, field inspection summaries, and project performance metrics.

  • Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure accurate data input and manage discrepancies or data-related issues.

  • Data Backup and Security: Establish and follow protocols for data backup and security, ensuring compliance with data protection policies.

  • General Administration: Work with staff to support any general administrative needs. Coordinating schedules, meals, communication time entry etc.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve data processes and automate data collection, reporting, and analysis where possible.

  • Supply and Equipment Coordination: Manage and track supplies, equipment, and resources for field teams, ensuring they are well-prepared for assignments.

  • Communication Support: Serve as a point of contact between field teams and office staff, relaying important information, updates, and documents.

  • Work closely with project managers, field teams, and inspectors on any and all data or administrative needs.

  • Assist with the integration of new data management software or tools.

  • Conduct training sessions for staff on data entry procedures and reporting systems.

  • Regular audits of data entry to ensure compliance with company or client guidelines.

Requirements

  • Two years experience as a Data/Administrator or in a similar role

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Experience in disaster management or public administration is preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to pass a Background Check, as needed

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required

  • Physical duties involve travelling from site to site, working long hours including evenings, weekends and holidays if needed. Ability to lift up to 30lbs. Standing, sitting for long periods of time. Mobility around client sites is required.
