The Role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.

There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in Endevor Administration environment involving installation, migration & upgradation of the subsystems and products ,with JCL and application knowledge

  • CA7 tool,OPC/TWS, Admin skills, Code Promotion - (Endevor tool knowlede), JCL knowledge with good team player, Analysing on schedules

  • Must have worked on CA7 and OPC tool and have through knowledge on OPC panel - 5.1/5.2/5.3/5.4/6.6, database, LTP, MCP, Database, Calander, ETT

  • Handle production operating system resource availability, dataset contention, CPU %, long running jobs

  • Performing Ad hoc requests like submitting special run, adding applications, setting up job dependency, canceling, holding, releasing, quiescing, bypassing JCL Override (proc override, parm override, executing the job from a different library), Endeavor package(bind/reset/delete), resource reset

  • Experience in scheduling on-request batch jobs that require immediate execution

  • Good knowledge on JCL/CICS/JES/DB2/MVS concepts

  • Ability to provide first level support and analyze job abends and cause for failure

  • Ability to invoke resolution and restart procedures in case of failures in the batch jobs

  • Drives issue resolution by making critical decisions that may impact multiple clients processing

  • Proactively investigate known and unknown error conditions and follows prescribed error correction procedures when they apply

  • Maintain peak performance at full capacity for all systems

  • Follow new/improved work procedures where appropriate and exercise sound judgment to make client impacting processing adjustments

  • Recognize abnormal processing conditions and makes appropriate response decisions

  • Follow escalation procedures when appropriate to resolve errors in a timely manner

  • Schedule of jobs as per client requirements

  • Good English communication skill to handle meetings with clients, partners and co-workers

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Skills to analyze the dependencies and schedule jobs as per requirement

  • Advanced Spanish
