Amazon Accounting Manager, LATAM Stores Accounting Team in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Amazon is a fast paced, dynamic, high-tech company. The LATAM Stores Accounting organization supports our financial reporting, internal control, and also supports new business launches for Amazon in the consumer products, initiatives, merchant, operations, logistics and payments.

We are currently looking for a manager level candidate to help support the business growth in Amazon’s Sao Paulo, Brazil office. Successful candidates may have held manager accounting or finance positions in public or private companies and demonstrated experience in leading teams to accomplish unusually complex challenges is also expected.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

  • Thorough knowledge of International, Brazilian and U.S. GAAP (including the FASB Codification) and related research tools

  • Experience with accounting closing process, including preparing and reviewing reconciliations

  • Advanced level understanding of an internal control framework (specifically COSO) and a solid understanding of the concepts of control design and operational efficiency

  • Experience with documenting accounting conclusions and related support

  • Written and spoken fluency in English and Portuguese required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Operational accounting experience with international companies

  • Experience handling big amount of data and concepts of data analytics and SQL is desirable

  • Written and spoken advanced in Spanish
