We are searching for the best talent for a Data Office Senior Manager (LATAM) to be located in Bogotá, Colombia; Ciudad de México, México; Santiago de Chile, Chile or Brazil: Sao Paulo or Sao Jose Dos Campos.

Purpose:

The Data Office Senior Manager is responsible for leading all data initiatives within the LATAM region. They will manage a team of data professionals and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data strategies and processes align with business objectives.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Develop and implement data strategies to optimize data quality, governance, and accessibility across the LATAM region.

  2. Oversee the collection, storage, processing, and analysis of data to generate valuable insights for the organization.

  3. Lead data governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and provide scalable solutions for data-related challenges.

  5. Manage and mentor a team of data professionals, including data analysts, data engineers, and data scientists.

  6. Drive data-driven decision-making by providing accurate and actionable insights to key stakeholders.

  7. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data management and analytics technology.

  8. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data infrastructure is robust, secure, and scalable.

  9. Monitor and optimize data-related processes, systems, and workflows to achieve operational efficiency.

  10. Scale up and sponsor Data-driven decision making by democratizing data access and improving data literacy.

Qualifications - External

Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, engineering, business admiration or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience (5 years) in data management, data governance, or a related role.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams, driving results and change management.

  • Advanced knowledge of data management principles, data governance frameworks, industry best practices and data analytics tools and technologies (e.g. SQL, Python, R, Tableau, etc.).

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data warehousing concepts.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

  • Experience with data privacy and security regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.

  • Advanced in English, both written and verbal. And Portuguese as a differential.
