About The Role

The Key Account Manager is responsible for conducting a sales executive team working through a set of distributors to achieve targeted numerical distribution, in a cost-efficient way; while ensuring the right 5-P execution at point of sale to dominate the retail environment, while developing an excellent business relationship between CP and the customers in the CARICOM Markets. Should provide feedback that allows a quick review of driven tactics, assuming a position that assures a balanced financial growth for the company. The KAM works in partnership with the country distributor to examine what is happening in the demand chain, anticipating and analyzing problems and opportunities, and recommending solutions for stimulating profitable volume growth.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure achieves sales and distribution growth targets, always working with a cross functional approach.

  • Develops a business plan for distributor which will address Colgate goals, consumer and trade needs based on level of engagement and trade service capabilities while supervising sales, distribution and retailer distributor performance, Gross to Net and working capital and taking action to improve.

  • Ensure appropriate levels of inventory at all times versus sell-outs.

  • Identifies appropriate customer service levels and the appropriate structure to deliver sufficient operational coverage.

  • Ensures that 5P tactics and demand marketing initiatives are implemented with excellence at the point of sale by the wholesalers.

  • Ensures winning at the shelf is a top priority for the team and focuses on the execution and delivery of the right assortment by the distributor.

  • Provides regular communication and analysis of results to distributor managers and field sales team (Sales Reps and Merchandisers).

  • Provides training and mentoring to ensure that the distributor sales force has the tools, skills and expertise to deliver results.

  • Prioritizes and KPI’s for measuring distributor’s execution against plan.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent inBusiness administration, engineering, marketing or related fields.

  • At least +3 years working experience in commercial positions.

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Understanding of Syndicated data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least +2 yearsproven experience managing distributors and knowledge of the CARICOM markets.

  • Experience in managing people and service providers is a competitive advantage.

  • Strong Excel, Google Sheets and Google Slides skills.

  • Management of customer's P&L.
