This positon is fully remote and is available for applicants located anywere in Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, Colombia, and Chile.

We are the Outlook Platform team and currently looking for a highly motivated developer who can help build a scalable Outlook platform with high bar for performance and reliability. We are in the early stages of fundamentally rethinking the existing calendar and mail backend services to meet the next generation use cases. You will be building a massively distributed cloud service with O(exabyte) data handled by O(300K) servers in O(100) data-centers around the entire globe. You will be part of a passionate and creative team working to modernize the way people collaborate and communicate. We are looking for a backend engineer with experience and/or interest in architecting and building secure, distributed, scalable, and resilient services using modern technologies such as C#, .Net core, gRPC, micro-service architectures, and Web APIs. We want to build best-in-class Outlook platform using robust coding practices and new tech. Successful candidate should have:
Strong passion and proven experience delivering highly quality services/distributed systems.
5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and shipping production services.
Ability to generate clarity in ambiguous situations
Exceptional problem solving, coding & debugging skills
Passion for and ability to quickly understand emerging technologies.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Strong background in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
Performance analysis skills.
