    What You’ll Work On

The Sales Engineer (SE) increases sales of Campbell Scientific Centro Caribe S.A. (CSCC) products by generating new business and ensuring the development and maintenance of existing customer accounts. They assess the potential applicability of CS products and services and offer solutions that meet the client's needs. They educate clients and communicate their suggestions for future product development. They use technical knowledge of Campbell Scientific products and services to promote and increase sales.

You’ll Support Your Team by Performing the Following Key Tasks

  • Proactively increase CSCC sales revenue with our infrastructure clients.

  • Travel for sales visits and client relations within Chile and in Latin America and the Caribbean, as applicable.

  • Develop offers in accordance with client requests.

  • Develop value-added resellers (VAR) and integrators in alignment with the sales strategy.

  • Assist in developing internal product development, marketing, and sales strategies based on market demands, including the development of case studies, courses, and product brochures.

  • Leverage industry experience and contacts to develop business and tailor our solutions to client needs.

  • Manage key client accounts.

  • Respond to and follow up on proposals and product information requests, and provide clients with training opportunities on CSCC products.

  • Formulate and budget complex data acquisition system solutions and networked multi-station systems based on client needs.

  • Incorporate and enhance value-added resellers (VAR) and integrators in line with the Infrastructure market partner strategy.

  • Recognize market changes and report on them.

    What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mining, or geological engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience primarily in the mining market.

  • Technical sales experience in the infrastructure sector.

  • Equivalent combinations of education and work experience may be considered.

  • Preferably, experience with Campbell Scientific Dataloggers and/or other measurement devices like RTU, PLC, etc.

  • Preferably, knowledge of instrumentation commonly used in the mining and dam sectors.

  • Preferably, experience with automated remote electronic measurement systems, sensors, and peripherals.

  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Client Relationship Management).

  • Proficiency in using computers and specific office software, including Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and customer service abilities.

  • Great attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Proactive and self-motivated to increase sales.

  • Professional who values hard work, fun, and building good relationships with colleagues.

  • Proficient in English at B2 level.

    Work Environment

Primarily an office environment, with up to 20-25% travel for client visits. Remote work (telecommuting) is possible.

Physical Requirements Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 pounds. Climb up and down stairs; sit or stand for long periods; walk for long periods on uneven terrain. Willingness to certify in working at heights and confined spaces.
