Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the construction and contracting industry, based in Santa Rosa, California. In this role, you will be responsible for high-volume data entry, sorting and matching accounts payable invoices, maintaining tracking logs, and providing front desk coverage as needed. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a crucial function within our accounting team and requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.

Responsibilities:

• Processing a high volume of accounts payable invoices on a weekly basis

• Sorting and matching accounts payable invoice support documents

• Conducting invoice batch and edit reviews

• Maintaining and updating tracking logs in Microsoft Excel

• Filing and organizing important documents

• Serving as an onsite interoffice mail courier

• Receiving supply orders and ensuring their proper distribution

• Providing backup for front desk coverage as required

• Working with a team to process large volumes of data and maintain a high level of accuracy

• Occasionally working overtime during busy seasons as needed. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction or contractor industry.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) functions, including processing payable invoices and managing weekly account payable tasks.

• Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Excel and MS Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.

• Experience in filing and maintaining organized, accurate records.

• Proven ability in data entry, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Knowledge of standard accounting principles and procedures.

• High level of integrity and confidentiality regarding financial information.
