We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Supply Chain team as a Logistics Operations Team Lead. The Team Lead is a critical role inside the Supply Chain Logistics & Cell Order Management organization. This person will be responsible for providing support and oversight for the Commercial Logistics team. This person will provide customer centric support for managing the end-to-end physical and systems logistics flow of commercial product, which involves the transport of apheresis material and cryogenically frozen human engineered cells. The Team Lead will work on facilitating resolution of logistics, transportation, and order management issues in a timely and effective manner. This role is considered fast paced with high accountability due to the time sensitive nature of getting our products to patients.

Responsibilities of the Team Lead:

  • Act as the key point of contact for escalations related to finished product and apheresis logistics operations for the US, Canada, and Brazil

  • Act as the Logistics and Cell Order Management SME supporting regularity agency and internal audits

  • Own deviation records arising from the Supply Chain logistics area

  • Develop training curriculum and tools to enable streamlined on boarding of new Logistics Coordinators

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

  • Lead a team of Logistics Coordinators on resolving operational issues resulting from process or system errors including but not limited to: order creation in EBS through order fulfillment, shipment tracking, troubleshooting and delivery.

  • Acts as key point of contact for escalations to logistics vendors within region

  • Oversee Invoice Initiation and Revenue Reconciliation after product delivery

  • Process entries into the Logistics Vendor Issue Log to track supplier issues and ensures effective team logging

  • Coordinate and operationally manage key logistics suppliers including the supply, delivery and return of Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) Shippers and Apheresis Kits

  • Participates in on-call escalation and after-hours triage/support

  • Facilitate and lead conversations with internal cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors

  • Additional tasks as elevated to support end-to-end logistics management for commercial cell orders

Basic Qualifications:

  • MS/MA Degree with 3+ year’s experiencewith Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or cGMP manufacturing OR

  • BS/BA Degree with 5+ years’ experience with Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or cGMP manufacturing OR

  • HS Degree with 9+ years’ experience with Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or cGMP manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience

  • Ability to work with multiple database and electronic systems

  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Ability to work independently

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities

  • Flexible to a growing and changing work environment and work structure

  • Working knowledge of biologic material transport

  • Experience with Oracle/ERP, courier, and material ordering portals

  • Experience in writing SOPs and owning quality records (e.g. deviations, change controls)

The salary range for this position is: $104,805.00 - $135,630.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
