Location: Santa Monica, CA (Remote or On-Site)

*Pay Range: $54.23 - $81.35 Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Method Studios currently has openings for a project hire Modeler to work on projects within our VFX department. This position will be located in Santa Monica.

As a Company 3/Method Inc Modeler, you will help create and design accurate and efficient models in the assigned time frame as outlined by the project schedule. You will exhibit a high degree of technical skill and artistic judgment.

 

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Create models as required by the project;

  • Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner;

  • Set and refine technical standards for modelers to achieve;

  • Follow Supervisor and Lead directions, ensuring models created are accurate and effective; Fully comprehend the requirements on the designs thereby creating models true to their designs; Be capable of taking direction and criticism well;

  • Report technical and other potential problems to Leads and Supervisors in a timely fashion.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role;

  • Wide knowledge of Zbrush and Mari;

  • Good knowledge of displacement map and normal map generation; Experience and knowledge of Maya;

  • The ability to multitask and prioritize;

  • Excellence as a team player;

  • Solid organizational skills;

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Houdini; Scripting Abilities

The benefits for eligible part-time employees working 25 or more hours per week and full-time employees in the US include a comprehensive package of health, retirement, and insurance benefits and paid time off.
