Make a difference in the community as a Health Insurance Enrollment Assistant with our Venice Family Clinic. This role will operate as the first point of contact for health insurance clients through phone and/or drop-in services. The Health Insurance Enrollment Administrative Assistant provides support for the data management of VFC's Health Insurance Enrollment Program, and is responsible for entering and maintaining accurate data, file retrieval and assisting with reporting. This role will also assist with other office duties as needed.

Salary range: $24.57-$34.87 HourlyQualifications

Required:

  • Demonstrated work experience in high volume office setting and community based health clinic.

  • Oral and written bilingual language skills in both English and Spanish.

  • Knowledge in various clerical duties and use of office machines.

  • Proficient computer knowledge including ability to work with database and word processing, and the ability to verify insurance coverage using the internet.

  • Strong communication skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.

  • Ability to keep accurate records and file alphabetically and numerically with accuracy.

  • Ability to perform duties even with frequent interruptions and the ability to respond to changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Ability to work weekends and evenings on an as needed basis

  • Ability to travel within Los Angeles County and provide coverage at our other locations on a weekly basis.
