Robert Half is searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to play a key role in supporting a company in Santa Maria. In this exciting role, you will gain valuable experience working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

• Assist with month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts, maintaining financial integrity.

• Prepare journal entries to record financial transactions according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Analyze financial data and generate reports to support management decision-making.

• Participate in tax preparation processes (as needed).

• Maintain strong internal controls and adherence to accounting best practices.

• Assist with other accounting tasks as assigned.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum 1 year of experience in public accounting or a corporate accounting environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

• Ability to learn and adapt to new accounting software programs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.

• Experience with tax software

• Working knowledge of audit procedures.
