Responsibilities

The Oncology Program Nurse is responsible for the implementation of a wide variety of Cancer Center activities and projects. Additionally, this position provides support for all cancer care activities in the Marian Cancer Program. Acts as a primary resource for education, personal counseling, advocacy, and problem solving for any patient, family member, or staff member, that requests assistance. Due to the nature of the position, the duty hours are variable and occasionally include evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current California Registered Nurse license.

  • Requires minimum of 6 years of clinical Medical-Surgical Nursing, including at least 3 years of recent clinical experience in Oncology.

  • Extensive knowledge of oncology nursing principles and practice, and is able to apply these principles in a wide variety of clinical scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with administrative and/or educational nursing role highly desired.
