We are seeking an experienced Project Engineering professional to join our team. In this role, you will conduct engineering activities that drive the success of overall project objectives . You will gather data, prepare and analyze plans, maintain progress reports, and present findings to monitor project progress. You will escalate issues as needed and complete project tasks efficiently. Utilizing scientific principles, you will innovate, design, develop, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools, and systems to ensure compliance with specifications, requirements, and customer guarantees. Additionally, you will ensure novel ideas and implementations are captured and protected using applicable IP processes and tools. What You Will Do

  • Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.

  • Oversees and coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines.

  • Liaises between project management and planning, project teams, and line management.

  • E valuates proposals , business plans, proposal work statements and specifications , operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.

  • Reviews project and budget status, manages schedules and prepares reports.

  • Monitors and assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives .

  • Represents UTC as the primary customer contact for projects. Directs the work of employees assigned on projects in technical manufacturing and administrative areas.

  • Collaborates on design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product development, integration and test.

  • Meets program schedules and budgets and maintains the integrated master schedules for project(s).

  • Prepares and maintains project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements to ensure that all action item lists are completed, and project quality expectations are met.

  • Manages and controls costs, resources, and time required to complete projects to ensure business targets are met.

  • Gathers and analyzes data to monitor projects' progress in terms of cost, schedule and technical specifications to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives and budgets are achieved.

  • Prepares and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to ensure that established targets are met.

  • Identifies and escalates project problems and supports resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.

  • Manage s project assignments with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives .

    Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written).

  • U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/ contract  

    Qualifications We Prefer

  • Bachelor’s in engineering: Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, preferred

  • Experience managing projects with cross functional teams

  • Minor or Certification in P roject M anagement
