We offer an exciting opportunity for a Billing Supervisor/Manager in Santa Cruz, California. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the billing process in our professional services firm. This role involves ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in generating and routing high-volume bills, maintaining accurate financial records, and being the primary point of contact for billing inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire billing process, from generating invoices to final distribution to clients
• Handle a high volume of billing transactions efficiently and effectively
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Reconcile accounts and identify and resolve discrepancies
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements
• Serve as the primary point of contact for billing inquiries from clients
• Resolve client billing issues in a timely and professional manner
• Identify opportunities to streamline billing processes and implement improvements
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the billing and accounting functions
• Provide support and guidance to junior staff as needed
Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or in a related field.
• Proven proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR), Bookkeeping, Billing, and QuickBooks is required.
• Should possess strong leadership skills with the ability to oversee and manage a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for communicating with clients and colleagues.
• Must have a thorough understanding of billing procedures and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is crucial.
• Must be detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills.
• Should have a strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial information is required.
• Must possess problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement solutions.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and trends is desirable.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
