Carnival Cruise Line Manager, Supply Chain Center of Excellence - Remote US in Santa Clarita, California

We’re looking for an amazing Supply Chain Center of Excellence Manager to fill this role, which is based in our Santa Clarita location. This position offers a remote US work location. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing key capabilities (talent, processes, systems, analytics) within Supply Chain at Holland America Group. The manager will work closely with the VP Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain and the Supply Chain leadership team in the development and implementation of capability building for the procurement, logistics, inventory management, and facilities/admin ops teams within the organization. He/she will also own the item master management (MDM) for food, beverage, hotel categories. Responsibilities

  • Create master data management program (MDM) for food, beverage, hotel items: clean up, standardize, taxonomy, governance. Work in process improvement projects, ideally using Lean Six Sigma

  • Manage the development of capabilities for the entire supply chain organization by identifying best-in-class practices, required skillsets and capabilities, developing, and implementing training programs

  • Build people capabilities: Coordinate capability assessment, develop and execute functional training plan, coordinate with HR on soft skills training plan, assist VP in other talent mgmt. (talent reviews, Hi-Po identification, career rotations, etc.)

  • Map systems and solutions to business capabilities; enhance systems literacy within Supply Chain; interact with vendors to understand market offers; create systems roadmap, including solutions for automation, RPA, AI

  • Provide financial analysis support to build business cases, etc.

  • Interact with Carnival Corp and sister Operating Companies in the coordination of best practices, systems implementation, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in computer science, finance, engineering, supply chain or equivalent

  • 3-5 years of work experience in supply chain, preferably in developing and implementing capability improvement programs that require process improvement, systems evaluation and/or automation

  • Management of large sets of data, or managing master data programs

  • Experience being able to get things done in ambiguous, complex, matrixed organizations

  • Having led or participated in change management initiatives

  • Strong analytical capability and aptitude. Demonstrated ability in process improvement and problem solving

  • Knowledge/exposure to multiple supply chain systems

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including power point presentations

  • Ability to work and get results in ambiguous and complex situations

  • Strong business acumen

  • Ability to develop business cases for the implementation of automation solutions

  • Base Salary Range: $81,400.00 to $109,900.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely
