Your Career

The function of the Product Evaluations Team is to support pre-sales activities specifically by making Palo Alto Networks products available for customers to evaluate. The candidate for this position will possess a firm understanding of U.S., EU, and Emerging Market export compliance regulations and their impact on international shipments. This knowledge will be leveraged to make more sensitive government end user determinations, screen end users against denied party lists, maintain accurate records and the completion of the bi-annual US BIS report. Duties will also include training of compliance and screening best practices for new team members as well as daily auditing activities ensuring compliance.

Your Impact

  • Create, process, and approve international shipments in accordance with U.S. trade laws for Palo Alto Networks eval teams

  • Verify proper export jurisdiction and classifications for products and software in accordance with applicable U.S. export controls (EAR and ITAR)

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into internal shipment reporting system

  • Interact with internal sales teams and external distributors to arrange international shipments and maintain export compliance

  • Contribute to maintaining good relationships with freight carriers

  • Understand department process flow, looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity

  • Help business partners understand the risks and consequences of the given international logistics situation - Effectively communicate the consequences and develop alternatives to manage identified risks

  • Maintain cost effectiveness

  • Train new team members on trade compliance and logistics best practices

  • Daily auditing of team activities

  • US BIS export reporting

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager

Your Experience

  • BA/BS in related field or relevant work experience or equivalent military experience required

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills

  • Self-motivated and independent worker

  • Desire for a career in supply chain/logistics

  • Strong working knowledge of Bureau of Industry Standards (BIS), Department of Commerce Regulations, and Incoterms based on import/export transaction

  • Familiar with Automated Commercial Environment Portal (ACE) and Export Automated Export System (AES) filing

  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook required

  • Fluent in English

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $101,000/yr to $164,000/yr.
