Oracle Supply Chain Analyst in Santa Clara, California

Job Description

The Supply Chain Analyst aka Buyer/Planner facilitates purchasing/coordinating key commodities used by Oracle's manufacturing partners to produce Oracle Hardware Systems. The work is complex and often non-routine. Interaction across multiple cross-functional areas is required. The role will coordinate both the supplier of the commodity and the contract manufacturer to resolve issues within the supply chain. The Buyer/Planner will partner with the Commodity Planner and Strategic Sourcing Manager to ensure that all facets of the Commodity Supply Chain are set up accurately and functioning properly.

Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Analyst aka Buyer/Planner will acquire materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., just-in-time purchases, use of EOQ - economic order quantities). Will resolve discrepancies. Will ensure material standards are met, and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized, perform supply/demand analysis, inventory management, and lead time management. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Backlog review, Manual POs, Expense POs, Converting requirements to Purchase Orders, Respond to emails, Staff meetings, Ad hoc supplier meetings, Backlog Reports, Procurement of Key Commodities, Supply/Demand analysis, Inventory management, Scheduling critical orders, Lead time management, Partner with internal and external teams to solve complicated issues.

Required Skills:

  • College degree or 5 years equivalent experience.

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.

  • Proven experience in supply chain and/or logistic functions, which may include material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, and distribution.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Experience optimizing supply chain operations to increase efficiency.

  • Ability to research, analyze, compile, and assess data.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $27.02 to $54.13 per hour; from $56,200 to $112,600 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
