What you’ll achieve

As a Site Reliability Engineer , you will help to ramp up our Operations team and be an SRE in this growing team for our 5G product. The team will cover operational practices from availability and performance management including monitoring to automation and incident response

You will:

  • Be instrumental in defining operational tasks, managing code deployments and configurations, develop and implement meaningful monitoring strategies, create automation frameworks and be on call duty for our software engineering incident response

  • Define SLAs and error budget for specific services as well as the end to end solution

  • Manage and operate a complete cloud-based infrastructure: Kubernetes cluster(s), service mesh, managed resources (databases, message bus, storage), Write deployment artifacts and extensions, such as Helm charts and Kubernetes operators

  • Help execute new product introduction and demo at customer sites, 5G I&V test plans (RAN and Core) in the lab and at remote customer sites

  • Design and implement a monitoring and alerting strategy using both in-house software such as Kubernetes probes and custom scripts, and open-source or commercial solutions (i.e.: Prometheus, Elastic, Datadog, OpsRamp etc), new test methodologies to reduce test time and increase test coverage

Essential Requirements:

  • Typically requires 10+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in development, infrastructure operations and DevOps concepts and CICD practices

  • Familiar with the following or similar tools: Jira, Confluence, Centos OS, Azure, Kubernetes, Helm, Github, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana

  • Able to easily achieve mastery of new RF tools, 5G protocols, KPIs and operating systems

  • Ability to generate and execute 5G test plans to be tested

  • Experience with network function virtualization (NFV) and orchestration

  • Experience with microservices architecture and technologies (REST APIs, Kubernetes, Docker, etc)

Desirable Requirements

  • 5G and/or private network deployments
