Nvidia Senior Technical Program Manager - Embedded Systems in Santa Clara, California

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with a dedicated and diverse group of Technical Program Managers. This team will have scope that is globally distributed and responsible specifically for the execution of critical embedded programs.

  • You will act as a force multiplier within the organization, facilitate cross team, cross department initiatives, and lead sophisticated dependencies.

  • Lead, influence and drive process change and improvement and also lead, expand and develop this team and Develop critical metrics, program schedules to measure release health, predictability, and achievements.

  • Anticipate risks and develop risk management solutions, identify failures, lead retrospective analysis, and help to develop action plans.

  • Build high level understanding of products, projects and goals and regularly communicate program status and key issue to management.

  • Drive the day-to-day operational aspects of software development, coordinating across multiple development teams as well as QA, release operations, etc.

  • Work with development teams on test plans, execution, reviews, failure analysis and assessing overall quality and risk and work closely with engineers on architectural discussions and challenge design choices.

  • You should be comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment, and contributing to innovative solutions, while demonstrating leadership, technical competence, and a bias for action.

  • Ensure that teams and programs run through methods and practices that optimize delivery, minimize risk, and increase efficiency. Additionally, ensure continuous improvement by establishing quick feedback cycles that leverage data driven metrics

  • Facilitate and coordinate delivery of this portfolio from demand management and strategic alignment of projects and programs to selection and prioritization, to execution and measuring the achieved results and Develop and handle program schedules, achievements and results.

What we need to see:

  • 8+ years of demonstrated ability successfully leading technical programs in a fast paced, multifaceted environment.

  • 5+ years Software Program Management experience driving engineering.

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • Strong technical background in developing and /or leading SW for Embedded, Android, Robotics, Safety-Critical environments

  • Strong communication and effective presentation skills with a proven track record to articulate a value proposition to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to multitask, quickly switch context, and be thorough and Think strategically and tactically and to build consensus to make programs successful.

  • Strong problem solving skills, consistently successful implementing systematic solutions.

  • Consistent track record of delivering critical SW builds, while navigating a fast-paced environment with frequent shift in priorities.

  • Excellent organizational skills and Experience in working with distributed team members across different time zones.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles

  • Enthusiastic, responsive and passionate and the ability to thrive with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty

  • Experience using tools like JIRA, and implementing process automation in support of this role

  • Experience in developing SW for Embedded, Safety-Critical environments

  • Project Management Professional Certification a plus

The base salary range is 188,000 USD - 299,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
