Cordis Quality Control Technician II in Santa Clara, California
Overview
The 2nd shift Quality Control Technician II will provide technical support to Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Engineering functions; review materials and documents to assure acceptability of components and products. Assist in the implementation and verification of solutions.

Responsibilities
Perform component and product acceptance activities
Identify and report nonconforming materials
Assist with performing engineering test protocols as required
Assist with performing design verification testing
Lot History Record review and approval
Assist in the training of new Inspectors/Technicians
May participate in lot release activity and document scanning
May be required to provide support on QA projects as needed
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
For employees with supervisory responsibilities, ensure that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
Responsible for ensuring compliance with Quality Procedures, Laws and Regulations of the applicable markets
Performs other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma required; some college or technical education preferred
3+ years previous experience in inspection and testing in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
Hand-on experience in mechanical inspection techniques and methods
Good communication skills with all levels of management
Knowledge in Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
Additional Position Requirements:
Work includes potential exposure to human bloodborne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials
Work includes potential exposure to chemicals
May require boxes lifting when performing inspections
