Nvidia Financial Analyst, Hardware R&D Finance in Santa Clara, California

We are looking for a Financial Analyst for our Hardware R&D FP&A team, based out of our Santa Clara Office. Our organization’s overarching responsibilities are to provide the highest caliber of relevant financial and business analysis that is both insightful and measurable, enabling effective decisions-making at all levels of the Company and improving our financial performance. We are looking for a candidate with strong financial modeling abilities and who thrives in a multifaceted, fast-paced environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinate the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting of R&D datacenter lab equipment operating expenses and capital expenditures.

  • Perform in-depth analysis of OPEX and CAPEX spending, applying sophisticated analytical methods to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.

  • Partner with lab managers and procurement teams to develop detailed investment plans and track expenditures against planned forecast.

  • Build and maintain consolidation models that integrate financial data from various sources, ensuring consistency and reliability of consolidated financial documents.

  • Perform detailed variance analysis, identifying and explaining key drivers behind financial performance deviations and present consolidated financial results to senior management, highlighting critical insights and providing actionable recommendations.

  • Apply advanced financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Alteryx, Dataiku) to automate consolidation processes and improve data accuracy and efficiency.

  • Develop and implement automated reporting solutions to streamline the consolidation process and reduce manual effort.

  • Leverage data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create dynamic dashboards and reports that provide real-time insights into financial performance.

What we need to see:

  • 2+ years of experience in finance, business, or analytics, within the global technology industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a business-related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and data & analysis tools (e.g., Excel, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and data visualization tools).

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proven experience in challenging status quo and assumptions with the ability to lead change.

  • Knowledge/experience working with large datasets using tools such as, Excel PowerPivot, PowerQuery, or SQL.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to both finance and non-finance partners.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Demonstration of high level analytical and financial modeling skills, with a consistent track record of driving process and system improvements.

  • Proficiency industry-standard SAP/BPC, and BI platforms.

  • A strong ownership ethic and intense focus on accuracy and accountability; take pride of work quality, strive for improvements; operate with strong team-work spirit.

  • Strong interest, background understanding of the Tech industry. Semiconductor background is a plus.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and deliver results in a dynamic growth company.

The base salary range is 84,000 USD - 138,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
