About this role
This position is for a Materials Planning professional within the Carrier HVAC Americas division. This person will support numerous factories with materials transformation initiatives pertaining to Supply Chain, Demand Planning, SIOP, and digital maturity. This role is responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to improve on existing processes to ensure the business goals and objectives are met while also facilitating best practice sharing across various regions.
Key Responsibilities
Leading the deployment of the Materials Management & Logistics (MM&L) Carrier playbook across the North American factories
Contributing to the standardization and definition of the policies and procedures related to material management and logistics
Providing functional leadership to the sites within your region to mature materials management practices including (but not limited to) SIOP, PFEP, production planning/scheduling, capacity management, supply planning, and inventory management
Identifying and driving transformational projects to improve materials management and inventory targets
Supporting the implementation of digital tools such as Kinaxis, LeanDNA, ERP utilization, and PowerBI reporting at the site
Driving metrics and key process indicators to show areas of opportunity and improvement. Identify appropriate targets and ensure data accuracy and completeness
Performing site-assessments for MM&L processes and drive process maturity initiatives
Acting as a change champion to drive discipline and adherence of the MM&L Carrier playbook
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
5+ years of experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, JDE, Oracle, etc.
5+ years related experience in demand planning, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, materials management, logistics or operations.
Preferred Requirements
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
In-depth understanding of demand, supply planning, and material management
Good understanding of financial planning
Experience with SIOP digital systems (e.g. Kinaxis), Material Management solutions (e.g. LeanDNA), supplier portal systems (e.g. Infor)
Proven experience in process definition and implementation, as well as in change management
Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Experience with LEAN principles, continuous improvement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, as well as strong skills as a negotiator to reach consensus, buy-in, and commitment within a cross-functional organization
APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is a plus.
Ability to travel up to 15%
