We are offering a part-time (15 hrs/week), long-term contract employment opportunity for a Facilities Assistant in Santa Barbara, California. This role focuses on maintaining an orderly and functional work environment. As a Facilities Assistant, you will be responsible for several key duties, including office maintenance, inventory management, and vendor communication.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the organization and maintenance of the office environment, ensuring all areas are functioning optimally

• Perform regular walkthroughs of the office to identify and address any issues

• Manage the inventory of office supplies, food, and beverages, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained at all times

• Organize and maintain the kitchen and conference room areas to ensure a clean and orderly environment

• Handle the ordering of necessary supplies, including coffee and food items

• Ensure the efficient setup of desk stations in partnership with IT

• Maintain and organize the storage of company merchandise in the swag closet

• Liaise with maintenance professionals as needed to address office maintenance issues

• Communicate effectively with vendors through email

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and communication tools such as email and Slack for daily operations.

Requirements

• Prior experience of 1+ years in a similar role as Facilities Assistant or related field

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook for email and calendar management

• Demonstrated skills in Management Systems for efficient workflow

• Understanding of Budget Processes to assist in budget planning and control

• Excellent Communication skills to liaise with various departments and vendors

• Experience in managing Conference Rooms including scheduling and setup

• Strong Customer Service skills to assist employees and visitors

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
