Job Title: Packager

Job Description

This position is responsible for properly weighing, labeling, and packaging manufactured products for shipment to customers. The Shipping Associate is also responsible for shipping packages and documents using the SAP system.

1st shift: 6am to 2:30pm

$17.50

Responsibilities

• Process orders on the customer portal

• Direct contact with customer service and customers

• Inspect products (visual and dimensional)

• Weigh and count finished goods

• Bag products and seal packages

• Label products and place in returnable containers

• Ship finished goods on a specified schedule

• Perform SAP shipping transactions using barcode system and manual data entry

• Maintain adherence to company policies, safety/ergonomic standards, and good housekeeping practices

• Understand and implement the health and safety policy and integrate health and safety considerations into daily work activities

• May perform other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Essential Skills

• Shipping experience

• Basic packaging, labeling, and warehouse experience

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Bilingual (Spanish is a must)

• Eager and positive attitude

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Motivated individuals willing to learn the trade and work hard

• Open to all cultural backgrounds

• No previous experience required

• English is not required; most managers are Spanish-speaking

Work Environment

The company manufactures rubber parts for the aerospace industry. The facility contains many injection molding machines and hot presses. It is a lean six sigma facility and extremely organized, with a place for everything from products to office supplies. The machines can get hot, but AC units are always working to ensure the facility does not get too hot. This is an ITAR facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
