Bharat Forge Receiving Clerk in Sanford, North Carolina

Job Summary:

The Receiving Clerk will perform assigned duties within the accounting department.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Primarily responsible for processing goods receipts against purchase orders
  • Following up with various departments to ensure material has been physically received or service has been completed.
  • Processing goods receipts within 24 hours of receipt/completion
  • Working with Accounts payable to ensure items not received but invoiced are followed up on and appropriately resolved
  • Publishing a daily MIS on the bank balances, revenue, and raw material consumption from SAP.
  • Following up on receipt related problems and ensuring quick turnaround
  • Correcting erroneous receipt errors within the appropriate periods
  • Weekly update on the receipts and payments on the expansion project (Project II).
  • Quarter end reporting on the revision on the customer purchase orders.
  • Miscellaneous accounting activities as assigned by the accounting manager to include but not limited to:
  • Backup Accounts Payable
  • Assisting the accounting team with daily activities and special projects as needed
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of purchase orders and 3-way matching
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Experience with accounting software
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with some bookkeeping coursework.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • One year of related experience required.
  • ERP experience: SAP experience preferred
