Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Junior IT Infrastructure Project Manager / Project Engineer for a contract position with the possibility of converting to full time. The Project Manager for this role needs to have a solid understanding of IT infrastructure projects (data center/networking set up, etc.), products/components, develop and manage project scope, budget, schedule and make a priority of heavy documentation. Mining, construction, heavy equipment experience is crucial to this position, along with safety being a high priority including wearing PPE. This is a hybrid arrangement estimated at 2-3 days a week onsite average at either the office in South Jordan Utah or at the mine site. You will work with other project managers and engineers to deliver these infrastructure projects.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- 2-3 yrs+ Strong technical IT infrastructure experience
- 2-3 yrs+ Strong Project management experience
- PMI waterfall methodology
- Prove ability to create and manage project scope, budget and schedule
- Heavy industry experience; mining preferred, heavy construction, oil & gas, etc.
- Willing to wear PPE on mine sites and go underground
- Demonstrated Risk and HSE acumen in projects
- PMP certified or formal education in Project Management
* Nice to have:*
- Program Management experience, overseeing large constructions projects
- IT Solution architecture working knowledge, ie: CompTIA certified, A+, Project+, ITF+
- Business Analysis experience, analyzing data and creating large scopes of documents
- Major projects experience, particularly with Study phases (feasibility study work), creating detailed Scopes of work and resourcing plans
- OSHA/MSHA certified
