Dura-Line, an Orbia Business, is seeking an experienced Lead Quality Assurance Technician to play a pivotal role in facilitating and enhancing the Quality Assurance, document control, and safety functions at our plant. Shift : 7:00am-4:00pm
Starting Pay: $21.00-$34.13 depends on experience
Sign-On Bonus: $500 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days totaling $1,500.00
Referral Bonus: $500 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days totaling $1,500.00
Responsibilities: Collaborate with production personnel to drive continuous improvements in products and services. Efficiently monitor product quality without impeding production rates. Lead and motivate a team-oriented, goal-driven group of Quality Technicians. Conduct training for new Quality Assurance Technicians on night shift. Inspect products during the extrusion process using calipers, micrometers, tape, and weight scale. Compare products with customer specifications and tag finished products. Issue SAP Quality Notifications as required. Manage equipment calibration schedules and support the Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager. Test incoming raw materials, maintain records, and operate diagnostic equipment. Issue Product Certifications and document information on work orders. Conduct internal audits for TL900 (ISO) Plant setup and preparation. Inspect and tag reels for calibration in QT-9. Maintain a neat and orderly work area, adhering to all safety requirements. Work overtime or another shift as needed.
Requirements: 2-3 years of experience in Quality Control, quality assurance, or inspection in a manufacturing environment. Around 1 year of management/supervision/lead experience (direct or indirect reports). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and file management. Data Entry skills for reporting. Familiarity with SAP or ERP inventory systems (desirable). Strong reading, writing, and mathematical competency. Data management and data integrity skills. Attention to detail. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group settings. Experience in quality/inspection procedures preferred. Ability to learn/use laboratory and inspection equipment. Able to step over and/or bend under objects. Able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance. Must be able to work 8-hour shifts. Plastics Manufacturing experience is a plus. Ability to stand on your feet for the entirety of your shift.
