Your Day to Day

Reporting to the Supervisor of Engineering, you will conduct general maintenance to the Resort in accordance with company standards and be able to demonstrate awareness and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures. You will be a proactive individual who can communicate easily with all team members, stakeholders, and guests and has an excellent eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines.

Your day to day will include:

• Carrying out maintenance checks and repairs as assigned by scheduled maintenance programs.

• Proactively showing initiative with ideas and problem solving.

• Working as needed to assist the wider Engineering team.

• Organising supplies and ensuring equipment is ready for the next day.

What we need from you

Ideally you will have at least 2-3 years of general maintenance and/or repair experience with a good all round knowledge of maintenance procedures. You will have experience in all or some of the following; air conditioning, door lock systems, painting, tiling, plumbing, and general furniture repairs, with exposure to these within a resort or hotel environment a plus.

An efficient self-starter, you will be able to work with limited supervision and have a general trade and technical background. You will be able to assist in repair work, and installations have good knowledge of required domestic and commercial tools. You are looking for a fast paced role that will also provide an excellent training ground for you to develop your competence in various types of engineering and general maintenance.

Your must be able to work on a 7 day roster including weekends, evenings and public holidays. A full drivers licence is also essential.
