Robert Half is currently representing a reputable client in the non-profit sector who is seeking a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper for a temporary to full-time opportunity. This position is based in Pleasanton, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries and bank reconciliation.

• Handle monthly, quarterly and year-end closings.

• Prepare financial statements – balance sheet, P& L, statement of cash flows.

• Coordinate with CPA for tax preparation.

• Conduct monthly reconciliation of every bank account.

• Make sure receivables are collected promptly.

• Process payroll and maintain employee records.

• Oversight of internal controls and documentation for audit purposes.

  Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of bookkeeping experience in a lead role.

• Strong experience in reconciliation, analysis, and review.

• Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel in particular.

• Exceptional ability to understand and reconcile bank statements.

• Must have a working knowledge of GAAP.

• Non-profit industry experience preferred.

• Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
