Some of responsibilities for the Director of Payment Operations are:

  • Oversee Payment Operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and successful audits.

  • Develop and manage payment strategies across various channels (e.g., ACH, wire transfers, mobile deposits).

  • Handle member account processes including deposits, payments, and legal adjustments.

  • Provide strategic insights to enhance service quality and drive growth.

  • Plan and manage money movement strategies with project management and technology teams.

  • Oversee system implementations, enhancements, and risk management.

  • Lead product development from ideation to launch and improve operational efficiency.

  • Implement new procedures to boost productivity and service delivery.

  • Stay updated on regulations and industry trends, and manage budgeting and vendor evaluations.

  • Coach team members, build partnerships, and handle escalated member issues.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.

  • 10+ years in financial services with 5+ years in management.

  • 7+ years managing payment systems (ACH, Wire Transfers, etc.).

  • Knowledge of EFT, NACHA, UCC, Reg E, Reg CC, and Federal Reserve Regulations.

  • AAP (ACH) and/or NCP (Checks) certification preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
