Bay Area Community Resources PE Coach in San Rafael, California

We are seeking committed and passionate change-makers to design and/or lead academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our Marin County after-school programs. Position Title: Afterschool PE Coach for Marin Expanded Learning Program

Benefits:

  • Pay rate: $25- $28 based on experience and location

Qualifications:

  • 1 years of experience in a K-12 setting

  • 15 hours per week - Monday, Tuesday & Thursday

  • Commitment to social justice, youth leadership, and development

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

  • Be able to communicate openly and effectively with all stakeholders

  • Be able to maintain confidentiality concerning education, health and personal information about students

  • Uses positive, effective interpersonal communication skills

Preferred: Commitment to a full school year, commitment to participate in professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Support program by assisting with supervision of students in playground

  • Create, plan, and facilitate engaging physical activities for students

  • Coordinates individual and team sports for students

  • Organizes, leads and instructs indoor and outdoor games, such as volleyball, kickball, soccer, and basketball

  • Promote a safe and positive emotional climate in the classroom and on the campus

  • The PE Coach will provide physical activity time for students in TK through 5th grade

Above is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience/education, skillset, and geographic location.
