Ethos Veterinary Health Entry Level Veterinary Assistant in San Rafael, California
The Pet Emergency and Specialty Center of Marin is hiring for our Entry Level Assistant program! No experience required!
The ELA is an entry level position at a busy emergency and specialty practice in Marin. This position does not require any experience at all and will give you the opportunity to be an Approved Veterinary Assistant through our online training portal, Vetbloom. This is a self-paced online resource that will guide you through different modules in order to successfully graduate, and at no additional cost to you!
Many of our staff members who have come to PESCM through our ELA program are now lead nurses on the floor running different shifts and departments. While this program begins at a foundational level with learning how to run the laboratory and stock the floor with supplies, there are opportunities to assist the nurses and eventually learn how to safely handle and retrain our patients. The ELA path can lead to phlebotomy, catheter placement, and medication administration, and so much more!
The ELA shifts are 8 hours and consist of a wide range of shift availability, including PT and FT, to accommodate outside life commitments. This position, while flexible and accommodating for school, requires availability on evenings and weekends.
