Sutter Health Nursing Shift Supervisor, Behavioral Health in San Mateo, California

Position Overview:

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the administrative management of Behavioral Health Services and Mills Health Center during the evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts. Manages staffing resources to provide cost effective, optimal and consistent nursing care; collaboration intra and inter-departmentally, to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families. The Behavioral Health Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the Mills Campus and cannot leave unless another Supervisor is present or a Manager is expected to arrive. The ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and the Patients’ Bill of Rights is integrated into nursing practice.


California RN license.

BLS and MAB certification required.

BSN or equivalent related experience required; MSN preferred.

4 years working in an acute care hospital required

2 years Nursing Supervisor in an acute care hospital preffered

Experience in a psychiatric/Behavioral Health preferred
